New Custom Duty Calculation silver

(Relevant from 17.01.2012).

Goverment has changed the import duty on SILVER to 6% of value from the sooner straight Rs 1,500 per kilogram with immediate effect.

Gold referance Price will be notified by custom department everyday.

Eg. As on (17.01.2012)


SILVER : $ 953 per kilo * 53.25 (USD-INR) (3rd JANUARY price, which will be valued for full month) = 50,747 * 6% = 3044 + 3% Educational Tax = 3135 will be the duty.
